Terms & Conditions

Last updated · September 14, 2026

1. Agreement to These Terms

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) are a binding agreement between you and Ahead Financials (“Ahead”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) governing your access to and use of the Ahead website, mobile application, and related services (together, the “Service”). By creating an account, subscribing, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. What Ahead Is — and Isn’t

Ahead is a money-shaping app that helps you organize your income and decide what your money is for. Ahead is not a bank, does not hold, move, or transfer your funds, and is not a money-services business. Your bank continues to do the banking.

Ahead does not provide financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. The plans, figures, and suggestions the Service generates are informational only. You are responsible for your own financial decisions and should consult a qualified professional where appropriate.

3. Eligibility & Accounts

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use the Service only with the permission of a parent or legal guardian who has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf. You and, where applicable, your parent or legal guardian agree to provide accurate account information and to keep it up to date. You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and for all activity under your account.

4. Getting Started and Free Trials

You can create an Ahead account and finish your first budget for free. Creating an account does not start a subscription or trial. Membership is required for ongoing budgeting actions after that initial setup.

Eligible subscribers can start a seven-day free trial by accepting the subscription offer in Apple's purchase sheet. Apple determines eligibility, and the offer shown before purchase states the trial duration and the localized price that follows it. Without an eligible trial offer, the subscription begins at the price Apple shows. Reinstalling Ahead or creating another Ahead account does not guarantee another trial.

Any remaining access from an existing Ahead-provided trial keeps its original deadline. When access expires, your saved budget and transaction history remain readable, while further budgeting changes require membership. Settings, legal information, Restore, and account deletion remain available.

5. Apple and the App Store

Ahead is distributed through Apple’s App Store. Apple is not a party to these Terms, has no obligation to provide support for the Service, and is not responsible for the Service or its content. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you. Your use of the App Store is also governed by Apple’s own terms.

6. Subscription, Billing & Cancellation

Ahead membership is offered as an auto-renewing monthly subscription inside the iPhone app. Before you confirm a purchase, Apple shows the current localized price, billing period, and any applicable taxes. We do not quote a fixed price here because App Store pricing varies by storefront.

  • For an eligible free trial, the first subscription payment is due when the trial ends unless you cancel as Apple requires. Otherwise, payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase. Apple's purchase sheet shows the applicable billing terms. Nothing in your previous website billing automatically starts an Apple subscription or charge.
  • The subscription renews automatically until you cancel it. Use Settings → Manage membership in Ahead, your iPhone’s subscription settings, or Apple’s subscriptions page.
  • Apple controls App Store billing, renewal timing, cancellation, and refund requests. To avoid a charge after a free trial, cancel at least 24 hours before it ends, as Apple's cancellation guidance requires. Cancelling normally stops the next renewal; Apple shows when your current access ends.
  • Restoring a qualifying App Store purchase reconnects it to your Ahead account. Restoring that purchase while signed into a different Ahead account transfers membership access to that account and removes it from the previous account. The two accounts' budgets stay separate and unchanged. If a renewal lapses, paid access ends when Apple reports that the entitlement is no longer active.

Ahead no longer offers website checkout. A prior Stripe payment is not migrated into an Apple subscription and does not create paid-time carry-over. Ahead is handling affected launch-transition charges and cancellations directly. Your Ahead account and budget stay in place; contact support@aheadfinancials.com if you need help with a previous website subscription.

7. Your Data and Deleting Your Account

The financial data you enter is yours. You can delete your account and that data at any time from Settings → Delete Account in the app, or by emailing us from your account address. Deleting your account is permanent. It does not cancel an Apple subscription, so use the management action on the deletion sheet or Apple’s subscription settings if you also want to cancel. How we handle deletion and the limited records that remain is set out in our Privacy Policy.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the Service, including by attempting to access it by means other than the interfaces we provide, interfering with its operation or security, reverse-engineering it except where permitted by law, or using it to violate the rights of others or any applicable law.

9. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its software, design, and content, is owned by Ahead and protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your own personal use. The data you enter remains yours; you grant us the limited rights needed to operate and improve the Service as described in our Privacy Policy.

10. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any plan or figure it produces will be accurate or suitable for your circumstances.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ahead will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, savings, or data, arising out of or relating to your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.

12. Changes to the Service or These Terms

We may update the Service or these Terms from time to time. When changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to notify you, such as by email or an in-app notice. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, except where your local consumer laws require otherwise.

14. Support & Contact

Need help, or have a question about these Terms? Our support page covers the common ones — installing, cancelling, and deleting your account. Otherwise email support@aheadfinancials.com and we’ll get back to you within a few business days.
